Our Story
“We’ve recently rebranded our clinic (formerly MEGAesthetics Medical Clinic).” That short line on our booking portal carries years of work behind it. MEGAesthetics built a loyal following in Barrow-in-Furness through careful, nurse-led treatment and honest advice.
SYN. is the next chapter: a dedicated medical aesthetics and skin clinic with a sharper focus on regenerative medicine, advanced skin health and facial aesthetics. The name stands for collaboration, balance, and the integration of advanced medical science with personalised care.
The full stop in our name is deliberate. It stands for clinical certainty: assessment before treatment, evidence before trend, and refined results that simply look like you on your best day.

Nurse Prescriber
Meg is an independent nurse prescriber with advanced training in injectables and skin health. She leads on prescription treatments and carries out every prescribing consultation face to face, because good outcomes start with proper assessment.

Shona is a registered nurse with a particular focus on skin health: analysis-led facials, peels, microneedling and Obagi protocols. Her approach is methodical, warm and built around what your skin actually needs.

Written guidance, scheduled reviews and direct access to your nurse. Our care does not end when the appointment does.
Our Standards
If you are new to prescription treatments with us, or returning after six months or more, you will always see Meg for a face-to-face prescribing consultation at least 24 hours before any treatment. It is not an upsell and it is not a formality. It is how prescription medicine should be practised, and it is why our clients trust us.
